Travel By Rail

Rail is nearly always the fastest way to travel on land and no matter which direction you are travelling to Dundee and Angus from there is a multitude of sights to take in. Crossing the Tay Road and Rail Bridges give spectacular panoramic views of Dundee and the surrounding countryside. Or if you’re coming from the north, visitors have the chance to travel through Royal Deeside and Angus. Dundee has direct connections to Newcastle, York and London King's Cross, plus CrossCountry Trains services to Birmingham and the West Country of England. More frequent services run to Glasgow Queen Street, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

The ScotRail Caledonian Sleeper links Dundee directly with London Euston, offering a cost effective alternative to domestic flights.
